i'm back from perth. with a sprained ankle and a grazed knee.

final notes from a great revalation

yes, i'm posting this at 4am in the morning. i have the mosquitoes in my room to blame for this. all that scratching didn't seem to sit quite well with my sleep. which is a pity too, seeing how i REALLY need the rest. i just spent the whole of saturday getting thoroughly sunburnt in kallang playing in the netops netball carnival. but it was thoroughly worth it. we clinched first place!:D yep you read right, tk netball has won their first carnival. usually we always fall short by one or two placings but there was no stopping us this time!:)

1st round we beat all the schools in our group(fairfield 3, bowen, serangoon, pioneer and kranji)to finish first in our group. pioneer's coach had NO sportsmanship whatsover. then we met nan hua, outram and fairfield 2 in the second round, all whom we beat. the game against fairfield 2 was the tightest i think.

there was this one instance jocina's center was defending me (i'm WA) and cihui passed me the ball from inside the circle. it was a bounce pass so of course the center contested for the ball. i caught the ball already and held it to my left, away from her, but this center kept pawing me from the right. so i don't know why but i was so pissed, i jerked away from her, just as the umpire blew her for contact, and i said REALLY loudly, "woah relax man," with this REALLY pissed look on my face. and pam in the circle started laughing. i guess it was kinda funny. the people outside watching the game said it looked like i was calling her a bitch or something. haha. i think that's the first time i've ever blown up at my defender. i'm usually really sweet, truly:)

so anyway, after we beat those three schools, we were in the semis!:) there we played amk whom we won to get into the finals against guess who? fairfield again. having won them only by one in the second round, we really felt the pressure.

i remember i induced a penalty pass for us during the final match. meaning i puposely made the umpire see my defender foul me. cihui was supposed to take a throw in and she was in a really bad position to pass, just so happened my defender was leaning on me. at first i held my space and stood straight, but i realised that i was right in the line of the umpire's vision so i leaned forward instead and made it really obvious my defender was fouling me. HA. take that fairfield.

so overall, well done tk! can't wait for perth!X)

1. i'm flying to perth in 6 days! X) i can't wait. 23rd nov here i come! haven't packed and dunno when i'll start. there seems to be a gazillion things to cram into that tiny space. i've scanned through our itinery already. SO FUN:D for all you good people at home, don't miss me too much.

2. we beat st margarets yesterday in a friendly of six quarters 40-25! at first we were all geared up cause they looked good when they played. and when we started it was like Bam. turnover after turnover. our defenders all worked really hard. KEEP IT UP TK! :)

3. tomorrow is the netball carnival thingy! okay i don't really know the name so it shall be just called the THINGY. so exciting right? X) it's like all our trainings (won't never forget all the sprints and drills under the sweltering heat, not to mention ms lee's mood swings) have culminated into something that i have to justify. i know, i know, not really making sense. i just feel like it has to have been for something right? but oh wells, i know we can do it;)

4. i really need to remove the nail polish on my toes! haha.

5. i shall catch step up with ces on TUESDAY cause all the other ingrates can't make it:) she's so nice she's catching it twice just for me X) love you ces!
